Bakery Assistant
Monday to Friday - Up to 40 hours per week (Flexible)
Temporary/Permanent Position
£12.44 per hour / 8am - 4:30pm

Sawley Kitchen is a family run business, but don't let that fool you! We're a busy, award-winning bakery and we're growing. The run up to Christmas is a key time for us and you'll be pivotal in helping us navigate our busiest period.

Daily Duties
You'll be part of a small team of artisan bakers who are at the heart of what we do day in, day out. Once our amazing artisan products come out of the oven, that's where you step in. You'll be responsible for bagging & labelling, ensuring the highest possible standards and continuity.

• Communicate with the bakers as to what's been baked

• Packing & labelling the products - ensuring the right labels are on the right products

• Perform quality control checks to make sure products are of the highest quality

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

What we're looking for

• A team player with a positive 'can do' attitude

• Have bags of initiative, you'll get stuck in to get the job done

• A person who thrives under pressure and enjoys working in a busy environment - we can get pretty busy so there'll never be a dull day!

• Strong attention to detail

• A great communicator - you'll be the linchpin within the baking & bagging area. You'll need to work closely with the baking team to get orders bagged in a timely manner so there isn't a backlog of stock.

• Someone with a excellent attention to detail who takes pride in their work ensuring products are packed quickly & correctly.

• Ability to work standing for long periods of time
